I m 50 50 on both. Designed by dan brunn architecture. Cons of light bathroom tile. We re doing 4 bathrooms all of differing size but all get good light.

Think about the natural light the space receives too much dark tile on the walls will make the space dark and gloomy. To highlight the modern design interior we added light white porcelain large format floor tile to complement the floor to ceiling dark grey porcelain wall tile to give off a modern appeal. The light stone of these large floor tiles matches the other smaller stone tiles used in the shower and bathtub to create a unified look. This upper floor bathroom sports large format marble tile flooring beneath a host of natural wood including the bespoke vanity at right and lengthy countertop and cabinetry at left. Wall tiles are white 300 x 600 and only other accent will be american oak floating shelves. Go big on the mirrors. Plus white off white or light colors can make the room feel spacious. On the downside though smears will show up on the shiny surface. Dark brown floor tiling adds contrast with white walls and glass shower enclosure.
