Description this is an awesome rare old handmade german leighton style transitional marble with a delicate color combo of lavender and frosty white wrapped horizontally around the surface. It features a field crotch mahogany with a solid mahogany ogee shaped edge it has a hand rubbed and polished semigloss finish. Unusual purple and white with a great 9 pattern. It measures approx 27 32 850.

They were produced until the early part of the twentieth century when world war i and the invention of marble producing machinery in america effectively ended the hand made marble industry.
